A&D: Fine Art AQA. Fine art offers opportunities for students to use their creativity to express themselves. They wil develop their understanding of creative proceses, their ability o observe and to think, to solve problems and to communicate in a visual way. It will enable students to work indepently and to make their own discoveries by exploring ideas, other artists' work and different materials and techniques. A2 students will develop work for a personal invetigation into an idea, issues, concept or theme supported by written material. This will count for 60% of their total mark. Students will produce personal work in response to one of eight exciting starting points. This will count for 40% of their total marks. A2 Unit 3 Personal Investigation (60%) includes 1000-3000 word essay Unit 4 Externally set assignment (40%).
