Combining academic and vocational elements, this is the perfect course for individuals wishing to progress to a Level 3 qualification, a related apprenticeship or straight into employment in the Health and Social Care sector. The Level 2 Diploma offers progression from the Level 1 Diploma. Students are required to undertake a placement in a relevant health or social care role for minimum of 60 hours. This provides students with extremely valuable work experience for when they begin to seek employment in the sector. The course combines both academic and vocational aspects related to health and social care. It provides students with an introduction to both health and social industry sectors. The course consists of 10 units, which includes two core units, two mandatory units and two units which are exam based. The units are split into a variety of topics including: Human Lifespan Development Health and Social Care Values Effective Communication in Health and Social Care Equality and Diversity in Health and Social Care Homework or private study is required.
