What will I do on this study programme? This study programme will provide you with an introduction to a number of equine related careers. It is a practical study programme where you will work hands-on with horses. This course combines the practical elements of horse care with theory, providing you with a good all round basic grounding in equine care. This programme will include a number of mandatory and optional units which will prepare you for a range of careers within the industry. How will I be assessed? Observations of practical activities, group work, coursework, presentations and examinations. What options do I have after successfully completing? Progress to Horse Management, BTEC Extended Diploma Animal Management BTEC Extended Diploma Equine Care, Advanced Apprenticeship. Job/career opportunities Trainer, riding instructor, yard manager, groom, farrier, behaviour and welfare specialists, horse nutritionist or back specialist.
