What will I do on this study programme? Would you like to learn how to apply make-up and style hair for fashion, beauty, editorial looks? Level 2 Hair and Make-up is a one year course designed for those with little to no experience, who want to gain the knowledge and skills required for a career in the make-up industry. This study programme has been specifically designed to develop your knowledge and practical skills by studying units such as the art of photographic make-up, create an image based on a theme within the hair and beauty sector and client care and communication in beauty-related industries. You will be able to put these skills into practice in a real life commercial salon, gaining a realistic view of the ever evolving industry you are about to enter. In addition, all learners are expected to undertake CollegePlus sessions and tutorials, which combined, will prepare learners for further study and/or future employment. How will I be assessed? We will assess you all through the year with online tests, practical work, assignments and projects. You will also have an online gradebook that you will keep up-to-date and manage targets set for you throughout the year by your tutor. What options do I have after successfully completing? Progress to Barbering Studies, Diploma, Level 2 Women's Hairdressing, Diploma, Level 3 Hairdressing, Advanced Apprenticeship, Level 3 Performance Studies, Diploma, Level 3.
