What will I do on this study programme? The units covered will include safe working practices, information, quantities and communication, building methods and construction technology, basic woodworking joints, using and looking after woodworking hand tools, preparing and using portable power tools. How will I be assessed? We'll assess what you know about the job and your skills in a number of ways, including practical synoptic tests, assignment, a portfolio of work and online multiple choice tests. What options do I have after successfully completing? Progress to Site Carpentry, Diploma, Level 2 Wood Occupations, Intermediate Apprenticeship, Level 2. Job/career opportunities Employment in the construction industry as a carpenter/labourer.
