What will I do on this study programme? In the first term of this exciting, acclaimed and fast-paced course you will look at different disciplines within art, media and design while developing core drawing and research skills. During the second and third terms you will specialise by choosing from a range of subjects including animation, architecture, fine art (painting, sculpture and printmaking), fashion and textile/surface pattern design, visual communication (graphic design, illustration), photo media, theatre costume, 3D design (interior, product and theatre design). How will I be assessed? External moderators and our highly experienced, subject-specific tutors will assess your practical studio-based projects, together with any written assignments during the course of your study programme with a final grade awarded upon completion of an extensive personal enquiry project. What options do I have after successfully completing? Progress to 100% of our students who applied successfully progressed to degree programmes many within highly prestigious universities including Harvard University USA, Central St. Martins, Edinburgh University, Glasgow School of Art, Goldsmiths A Foundation Degree in Graphic Design, Photography in Practice, Film and Media Arts Production, Games and Animation Production, Contemporary Arts and Professional Studies and then the relevant Honours top-up. These are all at Weston College in partnership with Bath Spa University and University of the West of England Other related national and international degree programmes. Job/career opportunities Opportunities exist in advertising, arts administration, fashion design, textile/surface design, fine art, graphic design, illustration, architecture, computer game designer, animator, photographer, film maker, interior and product design or a teaching career in art and design.
