What will I do on this A Level? This is a popular option if you have an interest in business or believe that the career you may follow will require some degree of business knowledge. The course will enable you to study different types of business and the internal and external problems they face in marketing their goods and services. You will gain a good understanding of national and international markets, the economic climate, the effects of government policy, and basic accounting concepts. Business Studies is a real life subject in an ever changing world and therefore an interest in relevant news stories is essential. How will I be assessed? All unit topics studied will be assessed via three exam papers which are 2 hours long. What options do I have after completing this A Level? Progress to Weston College's Business with Management, Foundation Degree offered in partnership with University of West of England; there is also the opportunity to top-up to a BA (Hons) A degree at university in a business subject such as human resources, marketing, finance, business information technology and business studies An apprenticeship in business, marketing, management or accounting.
