This course is validated by Staffordshire University. The course has been designed to meet the needs of the local and regional leisure industries and provides underpinning knowledge, application and practical experience for progression into each of these areas: Sports Coaching and Development, Teaching, Sport Science realted fields. The course is continually assessed through assignments which can be practical assessments, phase tests, portfolios or written and researched tasks and will include working skills necessary for future employment. Units include: Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Sport Psychology, Work Placement and a Research Project.
