Extended Project (EPQ)

UPDATED 20161028 13:07:59

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is worth much more than an AS qualification, offered alongside the A Level Programme. Students are required, with appropriate supervision, to choose an area of interest and draft their project title and aim; plan, research and carry out the project, keep a production log of all stages of the project production, reviewing and evaluating their progress; prepare and deliver a presentation; review the outcome of their project and presentation. In addition to obtaining higher UCAS points, students who are hoping to access popular and demanding courses such as medicine or law will find that it gives them an edge due to the university-type skills required. Students have found that it gives them something that they could talk about with confidence at university interviews.
