English Literature

You will study a variety of texts including poetry, plays and novels. There is a mix of time periods dating from Shakespeare all the way through to texts written in the twenty-first century. Throughout the course, wider reading is encouraged and as part of the coursework, there is an opportunity to select and research your own text. This course is suitable for students who wish to pursue careers in journalism, teaching, publishing, public relations, writing, performance, business, tourism, management and many others.
