This one year certificated programme of study is suitable for those who have previously studied health and social care at Level 1 equivalent and/or who wish to develop a career in caring, nursing or social care. Students will have the opportunity to acquire the essential knowledge for the world of work, by developing skills such as planning, research and analysis, working with others and effective communication. Students can progress in to employment, or on to further education. Students will have the opportunity to undertake some work placement. This course comprises of eight units including: - Communication - Individual needs and rights - Lifespan development - Diet and health - Creative and therapeutic activities - Vocational experience
