This course is for school leavers or anyone seeking employment in the plumbing industry, who is not already employed by a plumbing company. During your studies you will learn mainly through practical activities, which are supported by theory sessions. These will build-up your skills until you are ready to undertake the assessment tasks. You will build and test plumbing systems, form and solder using copper tube and work safely throughout. The course covers the following topics: - Plumbing principles and processes - Hot and cold water systems theory - Pipe bending and jointing - Installation of pipework and sanitary ware - Maintenance of components - Health and safety
