Learners interested in the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Hair Colouring Services will study theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks. Topics may include principles of practice of hairdressing, shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp, style, set and finish hair, cut hair using basic techniques and plait and twist hair. You may also take functional skills or GCSE qualifications in English and maths. You will undertake a programme of study in Learner Employment Achievement Programme - LEAP, and will need to undertake a minimum of 36 hours work experience in a hairdressing salon, during the course.
