Construction Skills Diploma level 1

This qualification covers a range of hand-skills and practical tasks from the following areas: Plastering, Floor and Wall Tiling, Carpentry and Joinery, and Painting and Decorating. Candidates will study 'Introduction to Health and Safety in Construction', 'Introduction to the Construction Industry' and applicable units aligned to the chosen Construction trades. English and maths will be undertaken, either Functional Skills or GCSE dependant on prior achievement and will form a significant part of your timetable. Employability skills will be developed and learners will undertake Work Experience as part of their Study Programme.
