The level 3 qualification typically comprises of the following core units: Health, safety and welfare in Construction (this unit can be carried forward from Level 1 or 2) and Principles of organising, planning and pricing Construction work. The following subject specialist units are also studied: Carry out first fix flooring and roofing, Carry out second fixing operations (these units can be carried forward from Level 2), Carry out first fix roofing and stairs, Carry out second fixing double doors and mouldings, Set up and use fixed and transportable machinery. English and maths will be undertaken, either Functional or Skills or GCSE dependant on prior achievement and will form a significant part of your timetable. Employability skills will be developed and learners will undertake Work Experience as part of their Study Programme.
