The course begins with team building activities, including a trip to the Outdoor Pursuits Centre and an observation of 3 entrepreneurs who talk about different aspects of their business. You will then be involved in writing your business plan, preparing to present your pitch to mentors and 'investors' just before you begin running your own businesses. The remainder of the course focuses on operating and monitoring the performance of your business and you will have the chance to work as an 'intrapreneur' within a business as part of your 2 week work experience. You will also benefit from understanding how to buy and sell through one week pop up trading. The course benefits from business engagement and enterprise themed activities and event such as inspirational guest talks, master classes and competitions. Mark Watts, Director of VIP Leisure Travel says 'It is clear that the course provides an excellent grounding in the core skills required in business today'.
