This course will enable students to gain experience and insight into the health and social care sector. There will be guidance to help students acquire a range of skills and personal attributes which will be of benefit throughout their working life. On completing this qualification, students will be able to progress to employment in the sector in a supervised role. The course is a 60 credit qualification, consisting of 4 mandatory units and 4 optional. The mandatory units of study are: , Communication in Health and Social Care , Individual Rights in Health and Social Care , Individual Needs in Health and Social Care , Ensuring Safe Environments in Health and Social Care. This 1 year course will also require you to undertake a mandatory voluntary work placement.
