ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages): Would you like to improve your English? CALAT offers courses in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for people who are settled in the UK, want to improve their English language skills, and gain nationally recognised qualifications. Our qualified teachers will help you with your English for everyday life, you will study in a friendly, safe environment, meet new friends, gain confidence and learn employability skills. At CALAT we can help you improve your English to help you continue your studies at college or university, improve your job prospects, or move on to a vocational course. We can help you get the most out of living in the UK. We offer classes for: Pre-entry (beginners), Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2. We offer morning, afternoon or evening sessions. ESOL classes are free for learners seeking employment and receiving Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), ESA (WRAG) or other means-tested benefits. Courses run for 50, 70 or 110 hours per 10 week term. The hourly fee for learners who work, or are not on benefits, will be £4.80 per hour. All learners are assessed and advised before they join a course. Please bring your passport or Home Office papers, proof of benefit (if applicable), National Insurance Number, and payment for the course (if applicable).
