Health and social care is a dynamic and engaging subject area and is an ideal choice for students wanting to pursue a career in areas such as Nursing, Social Care, Primary School teaching, Childcare or any of the Allied Health professions. Our BETC in Health & Social Care is aimed at those who are enthusiastic and driven and have the desire to work with people in the Health, Social Care or Educational sectors. We aim to develop the knowledge and skills needed to work successfully with people, in a wide range of contexts, with an emphasis on diversity, empathy and professionalism. Some ofthe modules you will study include Effective Communication, Public Health , Anatomy & Physiology and Nutrition. All students will complete relevant work experience with BTEC Diploma and Extended Diploma students completing a mandatory 100 hours. In addition all students are given the opportunity to gain a First Aid qualification.
