ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at A*- C including GCSE English and Mathematics. It is recommend due to the written demands of this course a GCSE English grade B is preferable. Context This two-year course is equivalent to 1 A Level (Introductory Diploma). It is a vocationally-related qualification that provides valuable opportunities for students to develop skills and gain underpinning knowledge and understanding which will support entry into work or progression to further studies through Further Education or Higher Education. What you will study The specification is divided into five units. Three externally examined units and a choice of two further units which are assessed internally and moderated by OCR. The units cover different aspects of IT. Every unit achieved will be graded as pass, merit, or distinction. Qualifications are graded using a Pass, Merit, Distinction, Distinction* (and Unclassified) structure.
