Context This two-year course is equivalent to 1 'A' Level. Two of the units (Unit 1 and 2 are externally assessed by EDEXCEL and involves a project based exam period) This course offers you an exciting and creative look at how media is used within the creative sector. You will use cutting edge industry-standard software and specialist hardware to produce high quality creative media work to a professional standard. What you will study This course requires you to study three mandatory units for the Subsidiary diploma: UNIT 1 Visual Recording and Communication in Graphic and Interactive Media (Externally Assessed) UNIT 2 Critical and contextual studies in Graphic and Interactive Media (Externally Assessed) UNIT 3 The Creative Process in Graphic and Interactive Media In addition you will study the following unit as an option: UNIT 11 Interactive Design Materials, Techniques and Processes. How You Will Be Assessed Two of the units will be externally assessed (unit 1 and 2) by Edexcel. Unit 3 and 11 will be assessed in school. You will be assessed on how experimental you are with different media processes, also on how you have developed your ideas and designs. You will also be assessed on the quality of your final outcomes and your evaluations.
