This course enables you to obtain an internationally recognised qualification in beauty therapy which when completed, entitles you to carry out the acquired skills on the public. If working on cruise ships, at health spas and in salons is where you see your future, you can progress to Beauty Therapy Level 3. The course consists of the following topics: Health and safety, Promoting services or products, working effectively, Facial skin care, Enhance eyebrows and lashes, Waxing, Manicure, Pedicure and Make-up services. You will also study nail technology and nail art, alongside either Functional Skills or GCSE English and Maths, dependent on your current GCSE grade. You will have access to information on study skills and the opportunity to attend support study groups. Average group size is 12 to 18 students.
