The AQA specification for A Level English Laguage and Literature encourages independent study of a range of texts designed to ensure the right balance and coverage of the two disciplines. This specification enables students to see how linguistic and literary methods are related and to explore these links in their work.

These include: Remembered places – the representation of place Imagined worlds – point of view and genre in prose Poetic voices – the forms and functions of poetic voice Written exam: 3 hours Paper 2: Exploring Conflict Methods of language analysis are integrated into the activities assessed. Entry requirements

A minimum of 4 texts will need to be purchased alongside stationary. There are conferences run by AQA each year costing approximately £40 including entry and travel – there are two in total.
