This package combines qualifications and experiences that will equip you to progress into a range of Public Services careers. The qualifications are made up of: Level 2 BTEC in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community, Level 2 Award in Assisting in Basic Expedition Leadership and a Emergency First Aid at Work Award. Alongside this course, you will also be enlisted into our Combined Cadet Force (CCF), which parade with our partnership contingent cadets from Priory School. The course targets skills required by Police, Ambulance Services and the Armed Forces so your time is well spent developing yourself towards a career in these services. You will also be able to use the qualifications for jobs such as Stewarding at facilities such as Fratton Park to earn money in your spare time. Progression is possible onto the Level 3 programme through application and through success with meeting targets identified by the Public Services staff. WHAT WILL I STUDY? Level 2 BTEC in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community hones your skills in leadership, teamwork, communications, problem solving, and fitness. You’ll be doing a mix of theory and practical work (including adventure training activities), and come away with useful life skills such as how to write a good CV, communication, adventure training, health and nutrition. Sports Leaders UK Level 2 Award in Assisting in Basic Expedition Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that provides an ideal starting point for learners who are aged 16 years and over and who wish to develop their outdoor leadership skills.
