This course is aimed at students who want to gain knowledge and understanding of creative digital media production and develop an insight into how to work within the media industries. You will work to briefs to develop your creative',' technical and employability skills for a range of media sectors. You will have the opportunity to undertake a variety of production roles',' develop skills in single and multi-camera techniques',' investigate sound recording and editing to produce practical film and television projects. This course will develop both your communication and team work skills. There will be trips to develop your understanding of roles within the media industries and visits to and from local media-related companies. You are assessed by practical tasks (both internally and externally assessed)',' final productions and supporting written evidence',' reports and presentations. You will build a practical portfolio',' entering UK and global competitions as well as undertaking projects linking with other College departments and the wider community Entry Requirements: Five GCSEs A*-C Grade',' must include English and Maths or a Level 2 First Diploma in Creative Digital Media Production at Merit or Distinction with C Grade GCSE in English and Maths. You will be required to attend an interview and present work from a pre-interview task. You also need a positive recommendation or reference from your school/tutor. Career Options: Progression to higher education to study a variety of creative subjects. Employment opportunities on completion of this course may include specialised apprenticeships',' or entry level jobs in the Creative Media Industries.
