The creative media sector offers a vast number of career paths and on this course you will explore the wide array of skills and techniques prized by employers across industries including: - Television and film - Radio/audio - Animation - Photography - Print media - Digital publishing You will undertake a series of creative projects',' producing a portfolio of production work for the media industries listed above. Alongside your practical work you will also study key media concepts including audience theory and the effects of media messages. In the final term you will be given the opportunity to work on your own creative digital project. You will attend College visits to film and TV studios as well as museums and archives',' such as the British Film Institute and the cinema. A variety of guest speakers from the industry are arranged on a regular basis. The course includes two one hour examinations. You will also study English and Maths if you have not yet achieved a GCSE C Grade in these subjects. Entry Requirements: You need four GCSEs at Grade D or above',' including English and Maths',' or equivalent',' or a Level 1 Diploma and functional skills qualifications in English and Maths. You will be required to attend an interview and present work from a pre-interview task. You also need a positive recommendation or reference from your school or tutor.
