Building on the Level 1 VRQ',' this course provides a broad range of knowledge',' including: - Investigating the catering and hospitality industry - Food health and safety awareness - Healthier foods and special diets - Kitchen operations costing - Menu planning You apply new workplace skills from work experience to your learning. Functional skills or GCSE Maths and English are a key part of this course. You will need to purchase equipment and clothing from an external supplier. Entry Requirements: You need four GCSEs at Grades D or above',' and one Grade C in either Maths or English or successful completion of the Level 1 VRQ. We will also consider you if you have at least three years' relevant industry experience. You must have attended the course taster day. Career Options: A Level 3 VRQ/NVQ or an Apprenticeship in a related subject area. You could also work in a post such as chef de partie in a kitchen.
