Science is the process of discovery! It is stimulating and allows isolated facts to be linked into a coherent and comprehensive understanding of the world. The knowledge generated by science is powerful and can be used to develop new technologies, treat diseases and find solutions to many problems. It is a discipline which is continually refining and expanding our knowledge. On this course you will study all areas of science, with the separate subjects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics taught as separate disciplines. The course is in line with the national curriculum for science which is required for progression to higher level studies and to a number of quite diverse professions. Careers for example include working in the health sector, scientific research/development, engineering and forensic science.
