The course is aimed at people wanting to enhance their knowledge and experience in exercise and fitness. Throughout the year students will lead groups for different sports and fitness sessions at beginners' and intermediate level. You will learn new leadership skills, how to plan, organise and deliver differing sessions to groups with various abilities. You will learn basic first aid skills and how to deal with different first aid and emergency scenarios. You will also cover anatomy and physiology for exercise. You will learn how to induct clients to the gym and use all the gym machines safely and correctly, as well as fitness testing a client and writing out different fitness programmes for clients with differing needs.
