Students are taught in mixed ability groups where history is currently the most popular option subject at GCSE level. We follow the Edexcel Specification B Schools History Project at the present time. During Year Ten we focus on the Development Study: Medicine Through Time and the Depth Study: Life in Germany, 1919-1945. We also look at the Vietnam War in preparation for Year Eleven. During Year Eleven students complete their Controlled Assessment on Vietnam. Students also cover the Transformation of Surgery in anticipation of the source based examination paper. They then revisit the Germany and Medicine units as part of their revision.
