The level 2 in Art and Design is a one year course. It will enable you to develop your passion for art by creating artwork in all aspects of art, design and media. You will have to complete specific tasks relating to assignment briefs in order to meet the requirements of the qualification. The completion of specialist units will lead to a final personal project at the end of the year which will be exhibited and celebrated in our Design Showcase. Alongside the main art course, your study programme will include you continuing to learn Maths and English if a C grade or above has not yet been achieved in GCSE. Initial assessment will decide whether you will study functional skills or GCSE. As part of the course you will also attend weekly tutorials, carryout enterprise projects, work experience and Maths and English projects.
