This course is made up of a number of units, allowing students to build up their qualification in stages. What are the benefits of taking this course?: · Enjoy a variety of stimulating activities designed to allow them to study the world of drama and theatre · The opportunity to gain the knowledge to be a performer, a designer and an active audience member · You will be expected to participate in live performances and to come to rehearsals outside of timetabled lesson time Students will participate in public performances with group or solo pieces. Students will be expected to attend theatre trips termly organised by the department costing between £5 and £35 What could I go onto next?: The Performing Arts is a varied and diverse industry. Performing Arts can be a good foundation to prepare you for employment in this field. However, it can also be good grounding for other careers such as Law, Education, Hospitality or any other field in which inter-personal skills are valued. This course will enable students to apply for academic study at university or practical drama at drama school.
