Performing, composing and listening form the basis of the Music course. Examples of set works at AS are Beethoven's 5th Symphony and Miles Davis' So What, whilst at A2 the set area of study is Programme Music. Performance is examined through formal recitals to a visiting examiner, and a number of style compositions and free compositions are completed over the two years.
