Psychology is the scientific study of how people think, feel and behave. Through research, psychologists try and provide theories to explain various aspects of human behaviour. Studying psychology enables us to gain a better understanding of ourselves and other people. Through this course you will develop knowledge and understanding of the different areas of psychology. You will also see how topical issues such as eating disorders or stress can be better understood and managed by looking at them from a psychological perspective. AS-Level Topics: Social influence; memory; attachment; psychology in context; approaches in psychology; psychopathology; research methods; scientific processes; data handling and analysis.
