Who is it for? Want to become a carpenter? Learn how to work wood and become a professional carpenter. Want to learn the skills and knowledge to build floors, doors, windows and stairs? This course is ideal for learners 16+ who enjoy working with their hands, enjoy a practical environment and are interested in working within the construction industry. What qualifications do I need to do this course? No formal qualifications are required, however, you will need a positive attitude, commitment and self-motivation. This course is designed for school leavers who are able to work at a level that is equivalent to GCSE grades A-F. Entry Level courses are also available for those who want to progress to a Level 1 but do not yet meet these requirements. Level 2 is available for those who have successfully completed Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery. Three GCSEs grades A-C or above plus a positive record of achievement/progress files. Additional curriculum subjects included English and Maths Functional skills, Employability & Personal Development Skills and Enrichment activities.
