Life Drawing

This course will give you the opportunity to develop life drawing skills by observation of a life model. You will be able to use various media such as pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolour, oils and acrylics. There will be group discussions about artists' works and current art exhibitions. There will also be opportunities for the use of ILT to develop your work, research artists and art movements. This course will enable you to build on your previous art experience to develop life-drawing skills. This course will provide you with a base from which to progress to study in this subject at a higher level. This is a practical course. You will learn through tutor demonstration and presentation, independent practical activities, research to develop ideas and knowledge and by producing a range of artworks. Your tutor will give you verbal feedback during each lesson and written feedback at regular intervals. Throughout the course you will discuss with your tutor what you want to achieve and record it on your individual Student plan (ILP). You will decide with your tutor how long it will take to achieve your goal. This is an engagement course. This course will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills to progress to a higher level of study within this or other art and craft disciplines.
