BTEC Information and Creative Technology (Level 2)

Key facts about this course: The Edexcel BTEC Level 1/Level 2 First Certificate in Information and Creative Technology has been designed primarily for young people aged 14 to 19 who may wish to explore a vocational route. Leaners who take this qualification will have an understanding how different IT and computing technologies interact and interrelate. It will provide learners with further opportunities for synoptic learning, which would benefit their progression to level 3 and eventually into employment. What could I go onto next?: Other level 2 vocational qualifications, Level 3 qualifications, such as the Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Nationals in IT or an IT/Creative Media apprenticeship. Employment within the information technology and/or areas within the creative industries, such as electronic publishing or multimedia production. Learners who achieve the qualification at Level 1 may progress on to the Level 2 Award or onto academic or other vocational Level 2 qualifications.
