AS Level students complete compulsory units on Education (with methods in context) and methods of sociological research; for their optional unit Families and Households will be studied. Each unit is assessed by a 1 and half hour external examination and is worth 50% of the course A Level students will complete the following units; Education with theory and methods (33.3%); Crime and deviance with theory and methods (33.3%); Families and Households and Beliefs in society (33.3%). Each external examination is 2 hours in length.
