Music Technology AS/A Level

This course offers a range of exciting opportunities to learn about MIDI sequencing, sampling, studio recording and production, composing and arranging, and the history of pop, rock and jazz music. There are three core areas of study - the principles and practice of music technology, popular music styles since 1910 (jazz, pop and rock), and the development of technology based music.

Name: Music Technology AS/A Level Qualification title: Music Technology AS/A Level Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment At AS Level, assessment is via the submission of 'Music Technology Portfolio 1' and a logbook. There is also a 1hr 45min listening exam. (30% of AS marks, 15% of A2) At A Level, assessment is via the submission of 'Music Technology Portfolio 2' and a logbook.
