Sociology is the scientific study of social phenomena. It is a subject that has been studied by world leaders and inspirational visionaries including Martin Luther King, Ronald Regan and Michelle Obama. We tackle issues including; socialisation, research methodology, racism, family and educational achievement. As a sociology student you will be challenged to think creatively, assess studies and different forms of data, critically evaluate theoretical prospects of society and consider your own views on the social world. It is a challenging academic subject that prepares individuals well to enter Politics, Journalism, Teaching, Law and many other careers.
