More marketable skills for employment The opportunity to live and work abroad An openness and awareness of other cultures The opportunity to mix things up you can study a little or a lot at university This course has been redesigned to offer you an accessible, interesting and challenging Year 12. Topics and skills that were developed at GCSE will be broadened and matured. The chosen topics will stimulate your interest and provide you with the language and skills to talk and write about issues that you care about. The topics we cover are: Social issues and trends Political and artistic culture Study of a film The second year of the A Level course has been specifically designed to complement the first. You will build on the skills you have developed over the previous twelve months and use your knowledge and growing linguistic expertise to explore a wider and deeper syllabus and more complex grammar. The topics covered offer a transition from AS. You will study Multiculturalism in Hispanic society, Aspects of political life in the Hispanic world. Study of one film and one book Assessment: There will be 2 units for the A2 Exam. These are Unit 3 - An oral exam Unit 4 - Listening, Reading and translation Unit 6 - Writing exam)
