Learners will take six units, made up of two core and four optional units, which enable them to begin to specialise in specific areas of the IT sector. The core units are Information Systems and Communication and Employability Skills for IT. The optional units are mostly in the creative strand. These are Website Production using HTML5 and CSS, Developing Computer Games using Scratch or Blender, Interactive Media using Adobe Flash to create an interactive educational product and, finally, Digital Graphics which concentrates on the capture of digital images using SLR cameras and their manipulation principally with Adobe Photoshop
