The Level 1 Diploma in Construction Multi-Skills is designed to start developing your basic hand skills and knowledge in carpentry, bricklaying, painting and decorating, plastering and floor tiling. If you enjoy practical work and would like to become a professional within the construction industry, this course could provide the first steps of your career. All of our construction programmes are delivered at the Engineering and construction campus, a purpose-built unit that simulates an industrial working environment for practical learning. Topics of study include: ?Construct woodworking joints ?Develop customer relationships ?Knowledge of construction technology ?Plaster walls ?Prepare substrates for painting and decorating We have fantastic relationships with local and national industry leaders who provide work experience opportunities and take part in guest speaker sessions for our students. We place a huge level of importance on securing beneficial work experience for students, which allows them to learn in a new environment and put the skills they have gained at college into practice.
