This is a level 2 qualification designed to provide a standardised approach for the delivery and assessment of the knowledge and skill requirements for the Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles. This programme is taught in a simulated environment. It is taught over 12 hours a week for 34 weeks. Approximately 50% of the programme is practical and in the workshop, and 50% theory is in the classroom. The programme is delivered through a combination of lectures, assignment completion and independent project and experiential learning. All of our programmes are delivered at the Engineering, Construction and Motor Vehicle Campus, a purpose-built unit that simulates an industrial working environment for practical learning. Topics of study include: ?Engine Technology ?Electrical applications to Vehicles ?Chassis systems ?Health and Safety We have fantastic relationships with local and National industry leaders who provide work experience opportunities and take part in guest speaker sessions for our students.
