The spa industry is a growth area that spans local, national and international organisations with a diverse range of styles such as spas in large multi-national hotel complexes, boutique hotels and bespoke spa facilities. This course is designed to help you progress to spa management and there is an ever increasing range of employment opportunities and career prospects for well qualified and motivated people. This course is designed to develop student's knowledge and understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry to understand how the spa sector fits within this global industry. Employability is a key component of the course as it enables you to develop new skills and learn about developments within spa management. Students will have the opportunity to develop and learn advanced practical skills to meet spa industry needs. We have a wide range of links with industry both local, national and internationally and we work hard to ensure that these are reflected in the course in visits, guest speakers, work placements and any other opportunities to ensure the 'real world' is brought into sessions. You will develop your skills in diverse aspects such as IT, communication, time management, team work, research and problem solving skills as well as an opportunity to explore this diverse and global industry.
