The new Foundation Degree in Housing and Communities is a two-year programme studied on a day release basis that meets the full requirements of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Professional Qualification. The programme is particularly suitable for those working for a housing organisation who would like to progress their career. It is also suitable for those seeking a career in housing, subject to attending a placement in a housing organisation. Students who successfully complete the programme achieve both the Foundation Degree and Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Level: Level 4 and 5 Credit Value: 60 Awarded by: New College Durham; CIH Professional accreditation The programme fulfils the professional requirement of the Chartered Institute of Housing. On successful completion, learners can become Chartered Members of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CMCIH).
