BA (Hons) top-up Education and Training

UPDATED 20161020 10:04:07

The course is a top up degree qualification for those working in the education sector. It is structured to take into account the needs of individuals who work in a diversity of educational environments. It promotes the values of reflective practice, equality of opportunity, inclusiveness, diversity of experience, collegiality and learner autonomy. Direct entry onto this final year top up degree programme is normally for those applicants who have attained 120 Level 5 (HE) credits in a education related subject. For most students applying, this means that if you already have a Foundation Degree in an educational area, you can progress directly to the level 6 top up year. For those students who have completed a Certificate in Education, they would need to complete the L5 year of a Foundation Degree in an education related subject, to achieve the Foundation Degree and then they can apply for the top up degree. Direct entry onto this top up degree may be dependent on Accreditation for Prior Certificate Learning (APCL) and will be discussed on application. The BA (Hons) Management course is delivered in partnership with Teesside University.
