A2. Two Pure Mathematics modules are studied. These modules build upon the foundation laid at AS. Here students develop their Calculus techniques, extend their understanding of Functions and explore Proof. Parametric equations, Vectors and Differential Equations are the other components of these two modules. These modules include an element of coursework that will count towards your final grade. The third module is Decision Mathematics module. Here students will enhance their understanding of how to make calculated decisions using mathematical techniques. You will look at route planning through critical path analysis, linear programming skills and network diagrams.
