Physical Education A Level

UPDATED 20161020 08:09:34

This is an academic and practical study of physical education, opening the door to a vast array of university sports courses and a huge range of opportunities in sports science, therapy and coaching, sport and exercise science, teacher training and leisure management. It's a great way to develop your own sporting performance and coaching and officiating skills, as well as developing an analytical approach that will be useful in any university and career choice. In your two years, you'll study modules in Anatomy and Physiology, Biomechanical Movement, Exercise Physiology, Acquisition of Skill, The Role of Technology and Sport and Society. In both years, you'll have one practical lesson per week where you'll be assessed on your performance, and coaching skills and your evaluation of another student's performance in their main sport.
