French A Level

UPDATED 20161020 08:09:34

Being able to speak, read and understand a foreign language is a tremendous asset. You'll enjoy a combination of practical listening and speaking work in our language lab, weekly one-to-ones with your teacher, also a native speaker and classroom lessons about the countries, people and culture. It's recognised for all university modern languages courses and is an ideal platform for a career in interpreting and translating, international business, marketing, law and the travel industry. Over the two years, you'll continually develop your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. In your Second Year, for the examination, you will be tested on comprehension, speaking and writing skills; you will also produce two pieces of written work under exam conditions, as well as two assessed translations. Don't worry though, we will practise a lot!
